There’s a big difference between a cookie and a proper cookie.
At Black Bird Bakers, ours are substantial 6oz cookies with crisp edges, soft centres and generous fillings. They’re handmade in Dartmoor, baked fresh to order and delivered across the UK.
Inspired by the substantial bakery-style cookies made famous in New York, we’ve spent years developing our own approach — one built around flavour, craftsmanship and seriously good ingredients.
What Makes Our Cookies Different?
Size is only part of it.
Every Black Bird Bakers cookie is created over two days. We slowly brown our butter to make house-made beurre noisette, prepare our fillings, make and rest the dough, then individually fill each cookie by hand.
We use premium ingredients including Callebaut Belgian chocolate, and bake in small batches rather than taking shortcuts.
The result is a thick, soft-centred cookie with plenty of texture, flavour and filling — something much closer to a dessert than an everyday biscuit.
From Dartmoor to Your Door
Our cookies are baked fresh to order at our bakery in Chagford, on the edge of Dartmoor.
Once baked, they're carefully packed for delivery, so you can order a box of freshly baked cookies whether you're sending a gift or simply looking for something indulgent for yourself.
