New York style cookies are generously sized, thick bakery style cookies with crisp golden edges and soft, gooey centres. Inspired by New York City's iconic bakeries, they're made with premium chocolate, rich fillings and bold flavours for a truly indulgent cookie experience.

At Black Bird Bakers, we handcraft our luxury New York style cookies in small batches from our bakery on the edge of Dartmoor using premium ingredients, including Callebaut Belgian chocolate and our own homemade beurre noisette (brown butter).

Black Bird Bakers was created with one simple idea: to make luxury New York-style cookies inspired by New York's iconic bakeries, using exceptional ingredients and traditional craftsmanship.

Every cookie is mixed, filled and baked in small batches from our bakery on the edge of Dartmoor. From home made beurre noisette to Callebaut Belgian chocolate, every ingredient is selected because it makes the final cookie taste better, not because it’s easier or cheaper.

Before Black Bird Bakers, our founder trained in Belgium and worked in a Michelin-starred kitchen, where precision, consistency and respect for ingredients were part of everyday life.

That same philosophy now goes into every cookie we bake. The techniques may have changed, but the attention to detail hasn’t.

After years of welcoming customers to our café, we wanted to create something they could enjoy at home too, a collection of luxury New York-style cookies, delivered across the UK or collected from The Birdcage Café
